Woman Bashed Inside Her Singleton Home

She's recovering in the John Hunter.

A woman has been left with serious injuries after she was attacked in her own home in Singleton.

The 42-year-old was met by a woman she knew and another man after answering a knock at the door of her place in Harriet Street at around 9pm last night.

It's alleged the pair then forced their way inside and attacked the woman - leaving her with a fractured eye socket, cheek bone and nose.

She's recovering in the John Hunter in a serious but stable condition after she walked to a neighbour's home following the attack to get help.
