Good news people of #Perth. According to The Economist's annual report on the most liveable cities in the world, we come in at a respectable 7th.
The bad news is that, according to the report, both Melbourne and Adelaide are better.
In actual fact, Melbourne took out the top spot in the report, which ranks each city based on a bunch of categories, such as healthcare, education and infrastructure.
Reportedly, where Perth was let down was in the category of culture and environment, which accounted for 25% of the total city score. The category accounts for a city’s climate, corruption and social or religious restrictions, as well as the availability of sport and culture, food and drink and consumer goods and services.
Either way, 7th is better than 8th, so we'll take it.
