Dean Patrick White hasn't been seen for almost a year, and now homicide detectives trying to work out what happened to him.

Mr White, or 'Whitey' to his friends, hasn't been in touch with loved ones since March 31 in 2017, his last known location was in the vicinity of Quairading in the Wheatbelt.

It's believed he was also living in Merebin in Victoria before he made his way to WA.

Homicide Squad Detective Senior Sergeant Manus Walsh believes the circumstances surrounding Mr White’s disappearance are unusual.

“Dean has not made contact with his family and friends for nearly a year, and that is considered very unusual,” Detective Senior Sergeant WALSH said.

“He often travelled alone, and slept in his vehicle or the trailer. Although he kept to himself, he was friendly in nature.”

In a peculiar twist, his car, a white Toyota Landcruiser 89 model 1HJ 9WS, was involved in a crash in Queensland last June.

It was also towing his blue camper trailer but Police don’t believe Mr White was in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
