Griffith City Library Warming Hearts By Knitting For The Hospital

Calling all knitters! Griffith City Library are on the hunt for people to join them in their quest to warm hearts with their weekly Knit In.

Knit In will be held every Saturday throughout the months of July and August between 9am-4pm and knitters are invited to gather at the Library to help raise funds for Griffith Base Hospital Auxiliary.

By purchasing any of the ready-made pieces such as toys, beanies, baby rugs and large blankets, you'll be contributing to the hospital.

Griffith City Library Manager, Karen Tagliapietra is urging people to join in.

“We would love to see lots of people join us at the Library every Saturday over the next few months to help create blankets and other items such as beanies and scarves,” said Ms Tagliapietra.

“Everyone is welcome to come along and join in no matter what their skill level. All they need to bring is their own needles, the wool will be provided.”

If you're taking part in knitting on Saturdays, tea, coffee and morning tea will be provided.
