Start your engines! Variety NSW Bash is coming to Kalinda School on Thursday May 24, with more than 100 Variety Bash cars visiting!
The Variety NSW Bash will give students of Kalina School the ability to access a new world of learning opportunities.
“Kalinda School has been desperately wanting to create a sensory room to support all students in our school. With the help of Variety, we look forward to designing, creating and implementing a sensory room, which combines a range of stimuli to help our students develop and engage their senses,” Kalinda School Principal Angela Sampson said.
“The new room will include lights, colours, sounds and soft play, all within a safe environment that will allow the students using it to explore and interact without risk.”
The donation is part of $50,000 Variety Bash will give to regional NSW schools during the event. This helps ensure kids, no matter where they live, don't miss out.
Variety NSW Regional Director Jason Bourke said, “All of the funds raised will provide grants to help give Aussie kids a fair go. This might be a new wheelchair for a child with a disability, a scholarship to help a child facing financial hardship achieve their sporting dream, or even nappies for a family doing it tough”.
