A 2 year old boy has been airlifted from Wagga Rural Referral Hospital in critical condition following an alleged hit and run in Tolland this afternoon.
Locals reported hearing a loud bang around 1:30pm, when a ute speeding down the street hit a white sedan driven by a 28 year old female, believed to be the boy’s mother.
It is alleged that the driver of the ute fled on foot, with police bringing in sniffer dogs and arresting him a short distance away.
Four others were involved in the collision including an 8 month old baby girl who was assessed on the scene by paramedics.
