More road safety upgrades are on the cards for the Cootamundra electorate, with NSW Minister for Roads, Melinda Pavey announcing $5.7 million of funding from the Community Road Safety Fund.

Among the local roads getting attention are the Newell Highway south of West Wyalong and East of Narrandera, the Hume Highway at Kyeamba and the Olympic at Yathella.

The government says it’s spending more money than ever upgrading high risk regional roads, with 77% of the total funding for 2017-18, going to safety upgrade projects in regional NSW.
