The Australian Paramedics Association NSW says the threat of state-wide industrial action, and the support of local MP, Katrina Hodgkinson, has brought the dispute over staffing at Coolamon’s new Ambulance station to an end.

NSW Ambulance has now agreed to five full-time paramedics at Coolamon.

That's the number the union says is required to provide cover 24 hours a day, as opposed to the original proposal to hire three paramedics, supported by volunteers.

The new station is due to open next month.
