Urban Sprawl Threatens Proposed Corridor

Labor is stepping up the pressure on the Turnbull Government to begin to secure the corridor for a High Speed Rail Link between Brisbane and Melbourne, before it’s built out by urban sprawl.

The call comes off the back of a report from Infrastructure Australia, warning that development is now consuming land along the proposed route.

Shadow Minister for Infrastructure, Anthony Albanese,  says High Speed Rail would revolutionise interstate travel, and turbocharge the economic development of regional centres along the route, including Wagga.
