Police are still searching for two young male offenders responsible for the armed robbery of the Kooringal Caltex service station on Saturday night.

Officers have just released details of the incident, which happened at about 9pm, when the 27 year old female attendant left the counter to check the ice fridges.

The woman noticed the men approaching and ran inside, the pair, both armed with kitchen knives, made threats and demanded cash, which she handed over.

The offenders fled the scene on foot, they’re described as being Caucasian, in their late teens to early 20s, wearing balaclavas and long sleeves.

Wagga Crime Manager Darren Cloake says they believe the offenders had been watching the business, and had identified the woman as vulnerable.
