Big Step Forward for Levee Bank Upgrade

Wagga City Council staff will now enter into discussions with a preferred tenderer, in a big step forward for the Main City levee bank upgrade.

The resolution to start talks was made at Monday night’s Council meeting, with a tender to be awarded at the conclusion of the discussions, and a start date set for construction.

Stage one of the levee construction will include Flowerdale to Wiradjuri Bridge, the Copland Street roundabout to the Wagga Monumental Cemetery, and then Wiradjuri Bridge to the Copland Street roundabout.
