Bumper Crop for Blowering Nursery

The Blowering Nursery near Tumut will produce its largest crop of pine seedlings in more than a decade this winter, with 7.2 million of them to be sent out to re-stock timber plantations across the state.

The timber will eventually be used for house frames and other timber products, with the Blowering Nursery supplying around 85 percent of the seedlings replanted across NSW every year.
The seedlings being produced now will be ready for harvest 30 years from now.
