A 25 year old man has now been charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and armed robbery, after several violent incidents in Narrandera last week.

It’s alleged the man was involved in an altercation with another man, aged 47, who was hit in the head with a tomahawk.

The 25 year old man reportedly suffered a stab wound to the abdomen, however he left the scene, and is alleged to have held up a service station on the Newell Highway.

He was eventually arrested in the early hours of Friday morning, and taken to hospital, before being released into police custody over the weekend.
