Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke encouraging the community to get involved in the New South Wales's Strategic Framework for Suicide Prevention.

Led by New South Wales Health the project sets out fundamental principles for suicide prevention, allowing each community to then tailor it to their own specific needs.

The group wants community members to take part in a survey by the mental health commission, helping to provide feedback heading into the future.

Ms Cooke says the key to reducing suicide rates in the country does not lie with individuals, but rather with the whole community.
