Council agrees to redirect storm water into Lake Albert
To address algae problems
Wagga City Council has given the green light to a temporary weir over the Tatton Drain, which would redirect more stormwater into Lake Albert.
The move is tipped to help address the blue-green algae problem in the lake, by adding more nurtrient into the water supply, and will cost around $52,000.
In the meantime, Council is still seeking funding for its Tatton Drain Project, which has a million-dollar price tag.
