Increased focus on water safety

Last night's meeting of Wagga City Council saw Councillors opt against closing the area of the Murrumbidgee River known as The Rocks, and instead increase water safety education and awareness.

This will include replacing the remote supervision signs at Cabarita Reserve with larger and more prominent signage, undertaking an annual River Safety communications campaign, and developing an Inland Water Safety Management Plan.
