Non-dwelling break-ins are the only real area of concern when it comes to crime trends in the Riverina over the past 2 years, we saw an increase in the category of almost 21%.

On the other hand, stealings from dwellings were down by around 10%.

The non-dwelling break-in spike was most pronounced in the Wagga Local Government Area, the localised numbers pointing to an 87% increase.

Crime trends in NSW overall are looking fairly positive, with the Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research report showing 16 of the 17 major crime categories either fell, or remained stable.
