Crime stats bring largely positive results
3 categories declined, 1 increased
The latest quarterly crime statistics have been released and they’ve shown a reduction in three major crime categories for our region over the 24 months to March, but there was also one notable spike.
The Riverina as a whole saw fewer stealings from homes, down almost 18%, while Junee saw a 50% drop in violent offences, and stealings from cars in Wagga dropped 21.2%.
On the other hand, Wagga had a rise in non-dwelling break and enters, up almost 34%.
