Labor says it will continue to push the government for more information about Wagga’s promised new primary school, after Education Minister Rob Stokes gave an opening date estimate in response to questioning in parliament, but still no confirmation of its location.

The Opposition’s spokesperson for Wagga, Daniel Mookhey, says the latest available data from the Education Department shows that seven local primary schools are at or above capacity, and local parents need information about where the new school will be, so they can plan for their families.

Labor Councilor for Wagga, Dan Hayes, says they believe the new school should be built in Estella, as it’s been identified as one of the fastest growing suburbs in regional NSW.
