The Office of Environment and Heritage has advised that the delivery of environmental water from Burrinjuck and Blowering dams, to enable a reconnection flow to the Murrumbidgee wetlands, has been completed.

The flow commenced on July 24, with the peak of the release now approaching Hay.

The OEH says the water has helped to improve breeding and foraging habitat for native fish and birds, and to stimulate growth of wetland plants, which helps to improve water quality.
