The sale of the Old Gundagai Hospital by the Murrumbidgee Local Health District has been referred to the Independent Commission Against Corruption.

A group of local residents who tried to purchase the site and turn it into an aged care facility raised the incident with the Shooters Fishers and Farmers Party, after allegedly being overlooked in the sale process in favour of a Sydney-based buyer, despite having previously made a higher offer.

MLC Robert Borsak says the buyer purchased the site for $110, 000, and 12 months later, sold it for $650,000.
