Landholders advised of rate increase
Due to increased demand for services
Landholders across the Riverina will soon receive their Local Land Services rates notices in the bail, with the organisation saying rates are increasing this year, to meet the demand and community expectations for key services.
They include supporting landholders to control pests and meet their legal obligations, vets' animal health programs, biosecurity and surveillance for pests and diseases, support during emergencies, livestock identification and traceability and the management of travelling stock reserves.
General Manager of Riverina LLS, Rob Kelly, says rates are an essential part of a secure and productive landscape.
