The NSW Liberals will not contest the seat of Wagga at the general State election in March, after losing the seat at last month's by-election.

A party vote was held last night to confirm the decision, allowing the National Party to run a candidate for the Coalition.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, a ballot circulated prior to the vote yesterday afternoon indicated it was the Premier's recommendation not to contest the seat.
