Local MP Supports Ambulance Volunteers

Member for Cootamundra, Katrina Hodgkinson has confirmed that volunteers supporting paramedics will form part of the plan for the soon-to-be-opened Coolamon Ambulance Station, irrespective of what model of care is adopted for the new station.

It comes after a meeting of stakeholders was held yesterday to discuss a proposed blended staffing model, which included NSW Ambulance, the Australian Paramedics Association, the Health Services Union, Coolamon Shire Council and volunteers.

Ms Hodgkinson says there are thousands of volunteers working hand in hand with paramedics all over Australia, and she has thanked our new ambulance volunteers, have now completed their training, for their commitment.
