A visit to the Riverina by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Deputy Premier John Barilaro yesterday brought with it a promise of half a billion dollars to grow local economies.

A new fund has been set up to invest the money into business-boosting infrastructure across regional NSW.

Ms Berejiklian says the investment will transform local economies, representing a new approach to funding projects in regional and rural areas, and helping local businesses reduce their costs.

Local MPs will work closely with their communities to prepare Growing Local Economies applications.

Daryl Maguire is encouraging local councils, businesses, industry, community groups and non-government organisations to identify projects and share those ideas with him.
