A 62 year old man is in a critical condition in Canberra Hospital, after he was reportedly hit by a truck on the Sturt Highway at Forest Hill yesterday afternoon.


The incident at the Elizabeth Avenue intersection, about 15 kilometres east of Wagga, closed the Highway for several hours.


The man was rushed to Wagga Hospital, believed to be suffering a serious head injury, and was later airlifted to Canberra by the Snowy Hydro Southcare Rescue Helicopter.
