A 51 year old man is lucky to be alive after a single vehicle crash on the Lockhart to Collingullie Road this week.

Emergency services were called out at shortly before 9pm on Wednesday, it’s believed the vehicle veered off the road and down a ditch, flipping several times.

The man had to be freed from the vehicle, he’s since been airlifted to Canberra hospital suffering fractures and internal injuries.

Police have praised the actions of a truck driver who stopped to help the victim.
