Man Tasered After Alleged Police Assault

A 40 year old man has been arrested and charged after allegedly punching a police officer in the face in Temora.

It happened on Sunday night, after police responded to reports of a car doing burnouts in Temora’s Loftus Street.

One officer tried to subdue the man with OC spray, to no avail, he was eventually tasered.

The man has been charged with assault police, resist arrest, and breach bail.
