Almost $590,000 has been allocated to improve mental health infrastructure at Wagga Base Hospital, the money coming from the NSW Government.

Local Member of the Legislative Council Wes Fang has welcomed the news, saying these mental health infrastructure upgrades will improve internal spaces, redevelop external courtyards, construct an enclosable outdoor area, create a comfort room and pay for new furniture.

An estimated 45 percent of Australians will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime.
