Wagga police have taken to social media to highlight the result of a local court case, relating to their investigation into what's been described as an 'Aladdin's Cave' of stolen property.

A 33 year old man and 25 year old woman were charged with dealing in the proceeds of crime and other offences, after a search warrant was executed on a property in Mumford Street, Ashmont, last February.

Both appeared in Wagga Local Court yesterday.

They received suspended prison sentences, and bonds of 22 months and 15 months respectively.

Police say they spent three months on the investigation, identifying over 100 victims of break and enters from the property seized.

They also say that there was so much stolen property within the address, that a small child was forced to sleep in front of the television.
