No Plans for Court Service Cutbacks

Hodgkinson Calls Claims 'Frankly Absurd'

Member for Cootamundra, Katrina Hodgkinson has spoken out to quell concerns about court services in some of the Riverina’s smaller towns, off the back of recent media reports.

Ms Hodgkinson says the NSW Opposition and some in the Riverina legal fraternity have accused the state government of cutting back on the opening hours of courts in West Wyalong, Temora and Junee, as part of a covert plan to eventually close them.

She’s strongly rejected the claims, saying there are no plans to close courthouses --- and to suggest that the government is secretly attempting to white-ant court services is frankly absurd.
