Police are appealing for information to help locate a pet Macaw, stolen from a house in Coleman Street during a break-in over the weekend.

It's believed to have happened sometime between 8.30pm Saturday and 8am Monday, officers saying the owners are desperately worried about the welfare of the six-month-old bird, as it requires special care and attention.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the blue and gold Macaw is being urged to call Wagga Police or Crimestoppers.
