Phil Hoey named Wagga Citizen of the Year

Local paramedic Phillip Hoey has been named 2018 Wagga Citizen of the Year.
The passionate Wagga advocate is also involved with the Asthma and Heart Foundations, and recognised for his humanitarian work.
He was one of six locals who were officially recognised at last night's ceremony, the award for Young Citizen of the Year went to Francis Elliot Rudder, and Peter Lloyd took out the Ted Ryder Memorial Sports Award.
Paul Fellows, Rachel Addison and Warren Smith were inducted into the Wagga Sporting Hall of Fame.
