Police Seek Man Over Alleged Domestic Incident

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a man allegedly involved in a domestic incident at Gundagai on Sunday night.

Officers attended the address on Tom Street at 12.35am yesterday, with the intention of arresting 46 year old Anthony Bethune, after an alleged domestic incident involving a 39 year old woman.

They established a perimeter, brought in negotiators and other specialist resources, with the stand-off lasting 11 hours, before they realised he was not inside.

A search of a caravan owned by the man saw police seize two firearms.

An image of Anthony Bethune has been released, police say he is considered dangerous, so anyone who sights him is urged not to approach.
