Police in Wagga are calling on local residents to make sure their windows, doors and cars are locked, with another spike in break-ins across the suburbs over the past few days.

One house in Tatton’s Atherton Crescent was broken into over the weekend, thieves gaining entry through the garage internal door, stealing wallets and several personal items.

There have also been numerous reports of vehicles being broken into in Norfolk Crescent, Lakeside Drive and Dalkieth Crescent in Lake Albert, Atherton Crescent in Tatton and Gunyah Place, Glenfield Park.

Delivery vehicles throughout the CBD have also been targeted by graffiti vandals, in most cases using the tag BHER and BCK.

There was also another suspicious house fire in Ashmont, the blaze at a vacant premises in Bardia Street under investigation.
