NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has officially opened Wagga’s Riverina Oils and Bio Energy plant, set to crush over 200 thousand tonnes of locally sourced oilseeds per year, to produce quality oils and vegetable protein meal.

The Premier says it’s exciting news for Wagga, with ROBE investing over 100 million dollars in the local economy, supporting hundreds of jobs.

The company is exporting products across the world, recently launching its Wagga Wagga Oils brand in India, it’s now sold in over 20 thousand supermarkets across the subcontinent.

Meantime, the Premier also paid a visit to North Wagga Public school while she was in town, talking up the state government’s needs based school funding model.

Ms Berejiklian also gave a reassurance that there are no plans to close North Wagga Public school, and that planning is underway for a new primary school for the city.

There’s no word yet on its location.
