Local farmers have another way to help out their mates in the Central West, who’ve been devastated by bushfires, especially the devastating Sir Ivan fire near Duneedoo.

The Merriwa branch of the NSW Farmers Association has started a charity cattle drive, asking for farmers across the state to donate cattle, that will be fed for free for up to 80 days at a Merriwa feedlot, then sold, with all proceeds going to farmers who’ve seen their livelihood go up in flames.

Branch Chair Pat Ryan was delighted farmers from as far away as Wagga have already offered cattle for the appeal.
