Farmers across the Riverina will soon be better equipped to tackle rural crime and protect their property, following the announcement of 26 police workshops across regional NSW.

The NSW Farmers’ Association has been awarded more than $165,000 in funding to help deliver Security Assessment Workshops during Rural Crime week this year, and has confirmed that several workshops will be held across the Riverina.

Policy Adviser Isabella McDougall says rural crime costs millions of dollars every year, and has economic, social and personal impacts for people living in the country.
