Peaceful Resolution to Long Stand-Off

A stand-off in Junee that has been going on for close to 24 hours has been resolved this morning, with the armed man surrending himself to police a short time ago.
He was armed with a machete and another bladed weapon, the situation began yesterday at around 11.30am
Inspector Rob Vergano has been on scene this morning, and says it all came to a peaceful resolution.
Students of the nearby Junee Public School have been sent to Junee High while the school was in lock-down, once it's deemed safe arrangements will be make to return to the primary school campus.
