Temora Shire Council

Riverina MP Michael McCormack has announced more than $3.6 million in funding for the Whiddon Group’s aged care facility in Temora.

The money has come from the Federal Government’s Building Better Regions Program.

It means the not-for-profit facility will be able to push ahead with its plans to construct a two-storey building with resident rooms on each level, to improve services and increase social connectivity for its residents.

The Greenstone Lodge building will be closed, and a new one built adjacent to the Narraburra Lodge, creating around 50 extra aged care places, and up to 40 full-time equivalent jobs.
