Board Dumps Closure Proposal
Good news for Temora, the Murrumbidgee Local Health District Board has resolved to continue surgical services at the Temora Hospital operating theatre.
MLHD Board Chair Gayle Murphy says they will continue discussions with local doctors and staff, as well as Temora Council and the Local Health Advisory Committee, around all aspects of local hospital services, including opportunities to enhance services.
It follows public backlash from the local community in response to an initial proposal to close the theatre and send surgical patients to Young, Cootamundra or Wagga hospitals.
