The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting heavy rainfall across the region today and tomorrow, which could cause moderate to major flooding along the Tumut and Murrumbidgee Rivers, and localised flooding across much of Southern and Central NSW.

Forecaster Emily McVeigh says 48 hour totals of in excess of 100mm are likely.

Meantime, Incident Controller from the SES, Bernard Kates says it looks like the worst of the rainfall will fall to the south of us.

Anyone in need of assistance during storms or floods is urged to call the SES on 132 500, or if lives are in danger, call Triple Zero.
