The Allonville Motel at Gumly has been severely damaged by fire overnight, the blaze spreading to eight rooms through the roof cavity.

All occupants were evacuated and there were no injuries, with fire crews from the Turvey Park, Wagga, Forest Hill and Lake Albert brigades all responding to the callout.

It was the third building fire in the city in 2 days.

A home in Tolland's Dennis Crescent was also destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon.

There was no-one inside at the time, and it is being treated as suspicious.

It comes after a vacant house in Ashmont was gutted by fire on Monday afternoon.
