Work has begun to demolish a house in Bluett Crescent, Turvey Park, which tested positive for loose-fill asbestos.

The property was purchased by the NSW government, under it’s $278 million dollar program to demolish loose-fill affected homes across the state and remediate the land, to eliminate the health risks to the community.

The house has undergone extensive preparation and was covered in airtight plastic while experts removed the offending material.
