Wagga Palliative Care puts out the call for volunteers

Wagga’s Palliative Care Service has put the call out for more volunteers, ahead of a training course which starts next month.

Palliative care social worker and volunteer Manager Jane Waters says their volunteers provide compassionate support to individuals and their families who are facing a life-threatening illness.

The goal of the service is to assist both the individual and family during a difficult time, with a focus both on daily living and quality of life, while also providing support to those who are grieving.
