The size of Wagga's road maintenance backlog has been revealed, with an NRMA report putting the figure needed to bring the local road network up to scratch at almost $300 million.

The Riverina has the second largest infrastructure backlog in the state, with the total bill for NSW a whopping $1.96 billion.

Wagga’s backlog jumped 936% between 2014-15 and 2015-16.
