Minimal Increases for General Security

The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal has released it's final decisions on the prices that WaterNSW can charge for it's rural bulk water services in the Murray and Murrumbidgee Valleys from July 1.

It's good news for general security water users, who'll only see their bills increase at or below the rate of inflation, while high security license holders here in the Murrumbidgee will see a 10.3 percent increase over the four year determination period.

Customers in the two valleys pay both WaterNSW bulk water charges and Murray Darling Basin Authority charges, the IPART saying the increases are primarily a result of rising charges from the MDBA.
