Busselton Detectives are investigating an incident in West Busselton on Thursday, 15 March 2018, and are appealing for public assistance.
A man and his children were inside their home on Clydebank Avenue when an unknown person fired a weapon at the house at around 10:50pm. A Jeep Grand Cherokee in the carport was struck with projectiles.
The Jeep was then set on fire by the offender and destroyed.
Neighbours saw the Jeep on fire and were able to stop the flames spreading to the house by towing it away from the carport.
Detectives are requesting anyone who lives or was in the area to check if they have any dash cam footage or CCTV that may assist in this investigation.
