Bunbury Football Club president Tom Busher has been honoured at the 2017 Sandover Medal night by taking out the Sunday Times State Volunteer of the Year award.
Busher was nominated along with 16 other finalists from regions around WA for the award.
Busher has been instrumental for pushing the men's health message with his company Alcoa over the past few years in the South West.
Not only is Busher president, but he's started at the club as a 7-year-old playnig junior footy going.
He's also taken on the role as a coach, a team manager, sponsorship director and more in his time at the club.
Busher also a big help in spreading the word of the the AFL For Life program throughout the South West, which gets footy into schools right across the area.
Mr. Busher wins himself a trip to the 2017 Toyota AFL Grand Final and will also be part of the Grand Final march on the Friday in the streets of Melbourne.
There are more than 46,000 who volunteer their time in football right across the state every weekend.
