Bunbury’s biggest summer of events is in full swing with the annual Christmas in the City celebrations on Sunday one of the highlights on an action-packed calendar supported by the City of Bunbury.
Overall the City is providing $192,069 for 16 community events over the warmer months in 2017/18, which includes such attractions as the Action Sports Games, Bunbury Chinese New Year Festival and South West Multicultural Festival.
And when you factor in major events run by the City – including Christmas in the City and Skyfest Australia Day Celebrations – there is a large list of attractions for locals and visitors alike.
Bunbury Mayor Gary Brennan said it showed confidence in Bunbury’s ability to host significant events that added to the City’s dynamic and vibrant culture.
“Events provide social and economic benefits for the City and instil a great sense of pride in our community,” Mr Brennan said.
